The BPI Robotics team is Back! The team has been hard at work at work preparing their robots for this year’s game, Over Under. The essence of the game is using a robot you construct in a 2 vs. 2 match in which you score acorn-shaped balls under a net.
The Poly robotics team plays in a league with other BCPSS teams. From there, we qualify for the state championship, where we compete against the top 50-60 teams in the state. With a top 10 finish at the state championship, you qualify for the world championship, which we did most recently in 2022. This is an extremely fun trip to Dallas, where you get to compete against the top 400 teams in the world.
The team meets most B days in room 167 and after school on those days (full schedule can be found on Instagram @bpi_robotics). At meetings, we split into smaller groups and build a robot within each of them. We are always happy for more people to join the club, so come by room 167 if you are interested in joining (no prior experience is needed).
