What Exactly is Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind?

Learn about the Undisputed Theater Club's latest play

You’ve probably heard the announcements for the Theater Club’s new show, Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind. Maybe you’ve seen the people walking around in maid outfits. Maybe you saw the play last year. Maybe you wandered through the basement one Tuesday evening and heard questionable shouts and even more questionable language coming from room 004. Or perhaps this is the first time you’ve heard of any of this, and you’re thinking, “What?

Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind is a comedy play in which a cast of about 20 people attempt to perform 30 plays, in an order randomly chosen by the audience. The plays are random, chaotic, and funny, and often require audience participation. This means it’s impossible to plan for; the cast can’t really know what the audience will do or say during any given performance. Resultantly, the skits often devolve into a hilarious mess of improvised nonsense, the kind of stuff that can’t happen twice. And it doesn’t need to: the same play ends up being uniquely funny each time it’s performed.

With weird plays and even weirder people, Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind is a hilariously unconventional way to spend advisory. Because of unforeseen circumstances, the play has returned after winter break for two final performances:
